You should also check the TTL on the primary name server (the dyndns server) and the DNS server you use (likely your ISP’s DNS server).
https://johncireland.wordpress.com/2020/09/07/viewing-dns-record-ttl-on-windows/
The dyndns server probably has it configured right and it should have a low TTL like 5 minutes or below, but sometimes the DNS server you use can be a server that ignores TTL and caches the result for longer than expected. I don’t think this is the problem if multiple of your friends are having the same problem but it doesn’t hurt to check.

1·12 days agoYes, now I remember hearing this news, it is an incredibly shitty state of affairs that user functionality is sacrificed for some imaginary potential harm to the interests of big media companies.
If only some TV makers would break rank and add DisplayPort inputs to break HDMI’s monopoly in that space and make them more humble……

6·12 days agoI wonder why only HDMI 2.0 on the Steam Machine, 'cos RDNA3 is capable of HDMI 2.1 and you need it to go over 4k 60Hz (I know it says 4k 120Hz for the Steam Machine’s HDMI but I suspect that’s either 4:2:2 color or DSC if it is really HDMI 2.0).

16·16 days agoIronic Microsoft doesn’t have enough electricity to power their hoarded gpus.
Why was there no mention from Steam that they have belatedly sent out the emails? Were the people who wishlisted the game still not notified? This is no way to fix a issue.
I went to PCPartPicker and tried to assemble a similarly spec’d PC, not with the absolute cheapest components, but definitely from the lower end sorted by price, it came out close to $800.
I guess if Valve can price it at that and be smaller it might have a market, but if much more than that people are better off just buying a PC.
P.S. Since Valve is not buying retail I think there is room for lower than that, and it’d definitely be welcome, but I’m not sure Valve will make that decision.
