I’m assuming they mean “future” in the same way the stock market (ab)uses the word, because AI had its lower ribs removed on day one. There’s no future there.

They always explained government as having built in checks and balances that keep things functioning and not going off the rails.

Where have any of these supposed devices been?

Or make phones that just phone. It wasn’t that long ago they were like that. People didn’t carry around direct access on demand and we didn’t fucking die, we just didn’t have instant gratification.

It would suck but we’d survive it.
