Why ChromeOS though? Were they already familiar with the UI and features?

Quick info: you cannot backup the Host server with PBS, only VMs and LXCs.

Edit: there seems to be some ways to send a manual backup of the PVE host to PBS but it seems to be CLI only and I don’t think the GUI allows that.

Also, you might want to put the backups in a dedicated partition or drive if you can, so you’d just have to reinstall pbs in case it get bad. I don’t know any way to backup pbs, as I don’t do that myself, maybe backuppc ?

They need a tag “customize controls” so many game just don’t have this and it’s so annoying when you have qwerty controls but an azerty keyboard…

Yeah I have a G6 and a few G8 at home, they are nice machines, even though newer generation feel way cheaper with more plastic…

I mean it would work, but depends on the load, it can definitely host some website, be used as a backup server or something. I installed a modern version of proxmox and even plain debian on it, so it would definitely work. But performance would be poor for heavy task like a game server.

As for the consistency itself, the server would run 24/7 without an issue, and it’s still built like a tank and it has been made to be resilient!

Well yeah But I always imagined the deckard to be a VR-steamdeck pricewise, Meaning: a relatively cheap VR headset for the masses! (Not excpecting 200€, but somewhere around 600)

I know oculus make cheap headsets, but they don’t really feel like a first class citizen on PC… Plus facebook bad, you know 😅
