Other car manufacturers update their cars all the time. Some OTA, some you have to take in to the service center, but that does not mean they don’t do it. The easy to steal Kias is an example of a recent recall that just required a SW update via service center. My ID.4 just got an OTA update last week. Tesla is showing negligence for not updating a service that is still in a lot of vehicles but they don’t actively sell anymore.
That was well worth the long read. I especially appreciate the rules of engagement including not going after identities, but techniques. So many “scam busters” tend to target individuals under the guise of getting to the larger organization. That has always weirded me out since it ignores the fact that a lot of those front line scammers are probably just desperate for work and are not the main beneficiaries of these scams.

Level 3 hits over 150kW. 50kW is slow nowadays. Most folks only use them on road trips or in situations they can’t charge at home, though. Level 2 is most common. Mine is set to 45 amps and does about 11kW

Also make sure it is a masonry/ceramic bit. In my my experience that matters more than the diamond coating (I use very cheap steel bits). Drill press is also much easier to control speed and depth, so use that if you have one

For the most part I agree, but we are quickly moving to a place where voting either won’t do anything or won’t be a thing. For now, organizing and community support is the best thing to do, but there may come a time where we need to think about other options

The electoral college has existed since the founding, women have only been able to vote since 1920, and black folks have only fully been enfranchised since 1965. That really isn’t the point. It could be 50/50 for this incident, but EVs (and as much as I hate saying something good about Tesla), even Teslas, don’t have a track record of blowing up. Plus the gas and fireworks in the back say intention. Maybe earlier than intended, but carrying that much flammable cargo is a fire waiting to happen

Also, CATL makes most of Tesla’s batteries, so they are subject to more QA than Tesla, though some are assembled in Nevada.
