I’m in the September queue

Yeah I bought 2 at $5. Used one a bit but the other is unopened somewhere for future historians.

The new one I am excited for. Will make using on screen keyboards so much easier like the deck.

When I last had an Xbox many years ago they had decent sales, but not as frequent. Nintendo is the only one who never does sales.

If you check the reserve link it says it expects I’ll be able to buy one in September.

I’ve had a deck since the beginning and absolutely love it. Though I gave up docking it a long time ago. I find it struggles to run a lot of stuff at 1080p that it plays fine at 800p. 2D and older 3D games play fine docked but I just got out of the habit of even trying to push it past native resolution.

Just no ram and no storage.

I would like to see a barebones option for like 500-600 but I doubt that will happen.

Yeah they’ve been pushing Claude code at work for us non coders jobs to come up with stuff that would help us. We’ve gotten a few surprisingly useful programs out of it, but our assumption is perfect them now before pricing goes through the roof. We are also only creating programs that do not require ongoing AI use. Just a bunch of relatively simple things that make our jobs easier.

I am still pushing my boss for some local hw as I think as a group we’ve spent a couple grand in the last month and that is the least of my reasons for wanting a local llm vs subscription.

Especially when it builds you up over multiple posts that make it sound more and more like your exact problem.

I just try to use my phone as little as possible so like dedicated hardware. If I’m walking the dog my phone is off and I’m enjoying nature sounds. If I’m walking dog in a more busy less serene environment I use wired headphones with a dedicated player. Either way my phone is off and I’m using dedicated equipment.

I think the only person posing as a gamer is Elon cause he pays people to farm his Diablo account. Everyone else gets a pass no matter what they play or how much they play.

I don’t think Canon or Nikon have anything close to leading edge these days and every other scanner manufacturer has gone under.

They are using the old low NA EUV machines. Still expensive and still pretty cutting edge, just not the newest.

They are talking about the low NA EUV tool which is quite pricey in its own right at $200 million. They are working on hyper NA EUV next… At $724 million.

I’m just happy I work on trailing edge steppers and scanners. Those are complex enough that reading about the EUV machines makes me sick to think about having to perform any maintainence on them.
