We already have better sunglasses, we don’t need meme glasses.

Why?
They’re not good looking and they’re quite expensive for cheap sunglasses.
I could buy 5 pairs of better sunglasses at kmart for the price of these…

…and nothing of value was lost.

The same as every other industry?
No one else gets articles about how it’s hard on them though, most journalists actively support the end of manufacturing and insult those who work it.

‘occular patdowners’

“Uber Eats and DoorDash hid tip buttons and set default tips below 10%. As a result, tips for delivery workers fell 79%,” Mamdani wrote on X. “In January, we made these corporations change their apps.”
Not on board with this, JUST PAY THEM A PROPER WAGE.
Tipping culture is stupid.

It’s even more infuriating when you get to Volkswagen and the same tools are locked down for certain cars based on the branding alone.
A Volkswagen dealer cannot program a Skoda or Audi or Porsche - even though all of them have the same hardware and software.
So then why is it an extra $52 in Australia?
AUD has lost ~50% of its value and we haven’t seen pay rises in a decade here…
Sony wouldn’t care about that either, bandwidth is cheap and all you’re doing is using up write cycles on your SSD.

Sony has always been ‘cool but evil’ and haven’t really changed.
Michael Atkinson was and still is a complete dick.

But they promised that their installer isn’t sending any data back to LG!
They didn’t promise the app itself isn’t snooping or that McAfee isn’t snooping, but the installer isn’t snooping, they swear!

Bubble won’t burst through, US gov is the reason the bubble even exists - Project Stargate.

Not quite the answer you’re seeking- but there are always Gulikit’s TMR stick replacements for the joycons.

I don’t even mind if it’s designed to make a profit.
However when it’s designed by a committee or worse a committee of committees, it all feels hollow and soulless.

Been doing this for a while now, cheapo Optane M10 drives do ~250MB/s Q1T1 random, which is faster than ANY regular NAND SSD.
They were designed as frequently rewritten cache drives too, so longevity isn’t an issue.

The AI is actually really good, but nerfed to hell by default, even on survival.
If you use GCM to set search times to 60s and ‘forgetfulness’ (can’t remember the actual variable right now) to ~5 mins, they’re tough. They don’t just give up and go back to doing what they’re doing and you need to keep moving since they can (*but won’t always) locate gunshots by sound and will start moving to your last firing location.

So does iOS, but it’s ‘bad’ to be walled garden there, but ‘good’ to be walled garden here.
If it was a link to an external news article on it sure, but this is just advertising, it links directly to Netflix and their big SUBSCRIBE NOW button.
