If you’re only gonna be playing 3DS games, then it’s better to still use the native device since emulation has latency even if it’s relatively low. I got my Thor as I wanted to emulate multiple platforms plus PC games. I still have my 3DS for when I want to play stuff like Ranger or Rhythm Heaven.
I think more than anything, is to be wary of SMS and email notifications of such things in general. It is far too easy to spoof those. Contacting your bank through official means is probably the safest bet when it comes to situations like these.
Same I’d gladly pay for it, I’d love to be able to play stuff like Pokemon Ranger on it.
I was hoping they’d implement the hinge the same way Nintendo did which doesn’t have the same issue. I’m not a fan of TPU cases as they add extra bulk and tend to turn yellow after awhile but I get what you mean. I’ve experimented with sticking round silicon pads (not sure what they’re actually called) but it looks pretty rough.
I love my Thor but man the way it sounds when closing the lid makes me worry some times. Anyone know of a way to soften the impact?
Is anyone really surprised by this? Social media that’s owned by an authoritarian country known for having extremely stringent censors would obviously take advantage of it the moment they could.
Has already been the case in Singapore but they require us to login to our digital government ID on some external vendor’s site which no one sure if they’re even reliable or not. It’s easy to work around by changing your account’s region though.
Not an option if you love somewhere where official parts are not for sale.
Second, the search engines that used to help drive users to Reddit mostly all have AI summaries / AI answers right there on the main search page these days. A lot of people read those AI results, get what they want right from Google (or otherwise), and never click any links over to Reddit.
Not just that but iirc a decision by reddit causes certain threads to only be displayed in search results without a post title and a description saying “the website doesn’t allow us to show you content” so why would anyone click on the Reddit links in a sea of other links?
It wouldn’t have flopped if they didn’t just gave up on it. They were so far ahead of everyone else but just like they did with WP, they refused to continue building up its potential.
Piracy is an option. Your existing game library is an option. There is no shortage of alternative game marketplaces. Especially on PC where people still overwhelmingly prefer Steam even in cases where it costs more. I’m not saying it’s impossible but the odds of it happening in the current market is extremely unlikely.
Yea all the people saying this doesn’t answer OP’s question. OP wants to play the Switch 2 exclusives and is willing to pay for it. Whether or not it’s a good idea or not is their choice.

I think it was pretty clear but I do have experience building touch UI. It’s more that a button click was being detected with “touchStart” which made it so that when users accidentally start a scroll gesture with their finger on the button, it automatically triggered the button unintentionally. The proper way to do this would be to detect it with a touchEnd event.

I don’t think you can compare it the same way though. For one, you’re comparing the marketing departments of companies versus the average consumer. The decision making process is different and the product is different. For piracy, we’re looking a a copy of a piece of work meant to be sold to the masses whereas this is a brand new commissioned piece of work for a specific purpose.
Add in the fact that the licensing of consumer media makes it so that you never actually own that piece of media. Whereas in this case, in most scenarios, the company who purchased the celebrity’s likeness for the production of this work gets to use that work forever.
There’s also the fact that using someone’s likeness without consent is a whole other can of worms.
The key skills you learn from math is not arithmetic. If you’re rationale for math not being helpful is that you don’t find yourself doing arithmetic, you’re not focusing on the main takeaway from math. The key skill is problem solving and logical processing.

I mean I get we are supposed to hate Windows here but highlighting a specific thing that very few people would even want to try and use that as a reason to doubt it’s user friendliness is just picking at straws. There’s tons of reasons that Windows can be interpreted as not user friendly already.

Well if I go with this method, these are usually singleplayer games that I’m fairly confident I can finish within a few months and won’t really play more than that so it hasn’t ever reached that point for me at least.
Are you seriously insinuating that the level of censorship on YouTube is anywhere close to Chinese platforms? A quick look on both websites would give you that answer very quickly.
