Almost everyone here could create a local bot that just scrapes URLs and dumps them here from anywhere. We don’t because the people here, by and large, still place intrinsic value on things shared by a human.
To me - This is not a dumping ground for random links. It is a place where PEOPLE saw something interesting and shared it themselves.
