I think you’ll enjoy this. This week I started putting my PC in sleep mode instead of locking it like an idiot. I know because I come back and I won’t wake up. So today my wife and I go out and smart me uses WIN+L to lock it instead of clicking the wrong button.
I come back, same thing! I’m like WTF, sometime isn’t right. I launch a game and I lose the video signal. I fuck around a bit and same thing. I won’t even have to launch a game and I lose video signal. I swap plugs around, no change.
I remember window and Nvidia updated this week. I roll those back, no change.
Then I think it’s the TV. I get deep into the diagnostics on it, fuck around a ton. Still no change.
Then instead of losing signal I get corrupted video before I lose signal. Fuck maybe my GPU is dying and I don’t want to spend any money I don’t have too right now.
Windows 11 has a really good crash log (maybe 10 has it too, no idea), and it shows hardware failure of the GPU. Damnit!
I noticed it started Wednesday, when the house cleaners were here. And they’ve been known to be rough with electronics.
I reseat the GPU and the power connections. Problem solved!

We have someone who cleans for us every couple of weeks.
We give her a list of places that we will clean ourselves, precisely for this reason.
I suggest you do the same. If they knocked your PC enough to unseat the graphics card then they must have really been fucking around with it
