This thing where search engines only want new results is actually quite bad. I was looking for advice on exactly how to physically arrange the wiring and connections for some batteries in parallel. SearXNG gave me great results that were really helpful from electricians posting on old forums of varying age. DDG and Google only gave me bullshit SEO sites. But they were new!

There really are a lot of people who think it’s in general wrong/unpleasant/to be avoided, to say anything negative ever. Only positive, mood-building statements are socially acceptable. This seems to be a regional thing and quite controversial; look up “toxic positivity”.
From your description it could be your friend is in that camp but I doubt it; sounds to me more like your friend might mean something anywhere along the line from, “you say no to activities when I want you to say yes” through “I’m surprised how often you’re tired” to “you seem tired more often than is healthy; something is wrong”

First I’m hearing this claim — what did Apple do to Bluetooth hearing aids? My mother has been using Bluetooth hearing aids for a couple years now that have nothing to do with Apple, are you saying Apple was standing in the way of that?
