  • Ford made the model TT which was a truck (yes, just like the model T car) in 1924, that’s after selling an assemble yourself truck. The F series was introduced in 1948 and the F-150 is the most popular truck globally by a lot. They’re very literally the first to ever mass produce trucks… so idk what your comment is trying to say. Ford has made trucks as long as it’s made cars and is arguably one of the only vehicle manufacturers in the world that can claim to be a company that makes trucks as their original products over 100 years ago.

  • Yeah I definitely don’t relate much to ADHD content. I know autism and ADHD can and often are comorbid so I don’t think it’s wildly out of place to have some ADHD content but it would be ok too if we had less content over all of it was more specific imo. I know LB works really hard to provide content for Lemmy and I’m grateful for it but I think this might be a case of less is more, we can also try to participate more ourselves too.

That said I don’t think this post is an “ADHD thing” for me it’s about my fear of getting bad news and if I will be able to cope with it, I think labeling this as ADHD in the first place is the issue not that this isn’t relatable content.

  • Nothing ruins my whole day but explaining things to me I already understand/speaking to me like I’m stupid will ruin our whole interaction or relationship if they keep doing it. If I don’t know something I’ll be the first to ask questions, seek out instructions and help, I hate feeling unable and will do what I need to to learn but if I’m doing a mundane task and you start telling me how to I’m instantly 100% over you, why do you think I don’t know how to do this??

  • Literally the only good thing about my hearing loss is I don’t have to deal with this sort of thing anymore. I used to be able to hear myself blink if the room was quiet enough. I used to get my hearing tested regularly to make sure my meds weren’t damaging it and I could hear both higher and significantly lower sounds than humans are supposed to hear. Now that one ear is basically shot they don’t care anymore about testing

  • I was part of a “focus group” just some random people that my friend and his team asked questions to about some humidifier or something, I genuinely don’t remember and he was shocked when I said I didn’t want ANY LED lights on the product and he’s like “how will you know it’s on??” On a product that would absolutely make noise while running. We compromised and I told him a completely hidden LED under the product, as long as it had no light leaks would be acceptable.
