Reddit is trash
It’s also ego and insecurity about their masculinity
Not to mention their donors
It’s still a horrible precedent. Don’t feed the trolls.
Everything bad you expect is going to happen.
As much as I love Final Fantasy (I have all the originals on Steam, even the PC ports of 7 & 8), Harry Potter would be for my kid. She loves that universe
What kinda cola meow?
I was straight IP banned permanently for reporting the Israeli genocide fans and racists arguing for the eradication of Palestinians. I just deleted the account because I never imagined they would turn into such shitheels.
Same. 13+ years of insanity and grouchy comments are gonna mess up the AIs
China has problems with organized crime, especially as it relates to phishing.
Best investment they ever made.
I think we just solved Anerica’s immigration problems.
It’s not just security that ruins an IT person’s life. I had a customer decide to do a massive data migration from their primary data storage to a new system during the busiest time of day. It destroyed the primary, secondary, and backup systems as well as corrupting the destination system. It was a one-in-a-million bug/glitch that cost me 2 weeks of 16 hour days.
It’s idiots in charge of IT that are the true source of our pain.
I could walk away from my job today and the only thing people would notice is the email daemon. Going to keep cruising as far beneath the surface as I can and get that paycheck. Probably get some free AI training too.
It’s exciting, but in the hands of morons (executives).
Lemmy is the only social media I use. I intend for my kids to not touch any of it.
They will site ban you for reporting the shill accounts too, even when they’re flagrantly violating the TOS.
He does longer format (i.e. 1+ hour) where there’s much less animated energy but still lots of cursing. Some of them are interesting (because of the guests), but he’s too full of himself and comes off as unlikable
I’d say it depends on what you want from a job. I’ve mostly been able to do nothing 90% of the time and still make good money. That 10% earns my share because it’s often brutally stressful. But I can hide amongst the bureaucracy.
