Yes, there’s a major activation energy barrier for the first time. For example, for me moving to Linux, Oracle VirtualBox was absolutely instrumental in helping me feel more comfortable. Reddit itself was also weird at first and off-putting until I simply tried magnifying the font size; back then, we only had what-is-now-Old Reddit, which was a pain to navigate at 100% size until I got used to it. Anyway, hopefully this Bluesky development will finally break X’s might, even if it’s not that much better of an alternative… and then gradually grow our own numbers here on Lemmy.
NGL, I rotate among at least 4 accounts across different instances here lol. It was originally out of accident because of my misunderstanding back then of how the Fediverse works, but now I just randomly use them as a simultaneous, illusory boost to Lemmy’s activity as well as my own pseudo-privacy lol. I like to think that it helps overall…

It’s probably because it’s Louis Rossmann against Samsung (both giants in their respective fields)…

But which are these specific sites, as in some exact domains? Why are you avoiding naming them?

PipePipe = NewPipe + SponsorBlock.

Switch to AdNauseam, a fork of uBO that garbles advertisers’ click data by invisibly clicking every ad before blocking (including blocking the resulting load so it doesn’t take any further data toll). Don’t just avoid; retaliate!

To clarify: Jan, Ollama, Alpaca, etc. are frameworks, onto which you can download and chat with different LLMs. They themselves are not LLMs. But yeah, you should probably have, like, a 2080+ or something…

It’s truly incredible how far it has come in just a year and especially in two.

This is why FOSS is the safest way to go, with Ollama, Alpaca, etc. You’d need a beefy rig to run such models, though.

I tried it in DistroSea and just cannot stand the GNOME environment… I think I’ll probably just stick to Mint. Thanks, though!

“Just?” How exactly do you propose people do that? lol.

However, that is what satire means.

Give us your tips and tricks, O great master.

It must mean they actually are logging our searches.

What makes me suspect them having an agenda behind all their self-marketing is the fact that this isn’t already the default page…

Gotcha. Well, I should say that, at least back when I was on Windows, trying to use LibreOffice’s dark theme was extremely crippling; entire rows of buttons would be invisible to the point of trying to go dark making the program invisible (and if you’re really used to dark themes like me, that can be quite unpleasant).

Wait, did one of them actually say this?

The dark theme controls are still pretty bad, bruh.

Wow, you’re right; it actually managed to go through the entire post without mentioning a single model… So ridiculous.
I can’t imagine what the solution is to this madness.
