Quick, everyone, shit talk them while they’re gone!
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… Piss ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion… I watched Pee-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like piss in rain…

I’ve had physical esx servers running this many VMS simultaneously, and I can totally see why a hobbiest or dev would have a need for this many VMs on standby. You are sane, yes
An old school friend of mine (ex-friend) did something like this. After finishing school, going to Uni to do some business degree, he came back to work in his grandfathers camera shop. He was immediately promoted ahead of people who had worked there for decades. Eventually he was given controlling shares of the company. He then decided to move to Thailand with his soon to be wife, so he sold the company, fired all the workers, and fucked off. He now helps run his wife’s cosmetic sweat shop. Nepotism is the fucking worst.
Edit: This all happened before I was remotely communist, I guess I considered myself a liberal at the time (eww). But it was one of the final nudges to making me realise that liberalism and especially capitalism, was utterly shit.
Dell laptops are pretty good for Linux compatibility. To save on price I would recommend browsing dell outlet. It’s an official dell store for selling “reconditioned” hardware. None of it has been used. Normally it’s just returned stock, or stock that has superficial damage like scratches on the case, etc.
You can get some pretty hefty savings, sometimes as much as 50%. Check it out.
It can be a pain. I use linux exclusively for servers and stuff, especially virtual machines, but with my work I simply cannot risk ruining into the sorts of issues you describe so I stick to windows on my desktop/laptop and use WSL for development.
I really need to block these tech treats subs. It’s all inane rubbish. Blah blah phone will have blah blah processor. BUY BUY BUY.
It’s so depressing
Always dabbled, but working with Docker has really made me commit to learning it. Also the ease of spinning up linux on cloud systems is a joy.
I have to admit that I never understood the hatred levelled at Google glass. It all seemed rather unobtrusive, but people fucking hated them.
I’ve used Nuxt a few times, but I end up in absolute hell sometimes tracing down bugs and incompatabilities. More so with Nuxt 3. Probably not an issue for more experienced Devs.
I find myself coming back to the simplicity of running a separate backend, even though that reintroduces a lot of the problems that Nuxt alleviates.
Vue + Express + Typescript + Postgres
Though I am playing around with Firebase and Firestore at the moment so that simpler projects have less backend overhead
Took me a while to
Man. I remember taking the CompTIA exams back in the day.
I forget about them until my boss asks me why we are spending so much on cloud services.
It’s ok to not know about it, but when you are made aware about it you are then presented with a choice.
It’s up to you if you want to carry on using the term despite knowing about it’s roots.

Javascript is just really great. WASM is also great and really opens up some cool possibilities, but there is something inexplicably simple and approachable about Javascript. I think it will be very hard to topple it from its throne, even if WASM overcame it’s DOM issues.
Me neither, but I do enjoy it
