I have a really old one that doesn’t do part pairing and is new enough to do color so it’s worth holding on to. The ink expiration, refill and status is still locked and it still can still brick specific ink cartridges if detects stuff like low ink or whatever. At least non-hp cartridges aren’t all-out blocked. I might have to steal all the information in the post so I can build my own whatever that is before hp sues everyone involved and purges it from the internet.

Some day I hope I’ll find a way to refill the cartridges with ink and hack them to reset the ink levels.

I fucking hate these. I’ve seen old people that don’t know any better get stuck on these for at least 30 minutes.

I’ll stop using ai when Pearson stops using ai to generate broken homework assignments. Sometimes the only way to get whatever incorrect answer the ai autograder is looking for is to fish it out from the model.

I’m saving this. Not because I want to make bombs, but if it really is that easy to make lithium batteries then knowing about the process will be beneficial someday. I’m OK with actual honest to goodness videos on lemmy generally. It’s those fucking gifs that drive me up the fucking wall. Gifs should be banned from lemmy, they’re so heavily abused. 3 out of 4 “video” posts is actually just a 100mb+ gif. Use any fucking thing other than gifs. Fuck gifs. If I had a time machine I would go back in time just to prevent gifs from getting invented just so people would stop posting 1 minute long gifs all over lemmy. In fact, maybe I should plot and scheme to sneak the removal of gif support from the lemmy software git repo somehow the same way hackers got that ssh virus in.

Fuck gifs. Everyone needs to stop choosing to use them instead of any other format. Literally anything else would be better. Even drawing a representation of what happened in crayon would be better than posting a gif. If videos are too complicated to figure out you need to be posting a picture or maybe just go outside. Fuck.

If you use ublock origin and watch a lot, they’ll eventually put your ip address on a list where you have to log in to watch anything. Newpipe seems to be able to circumvent this but yt-dlp can’t. I haven’t tried freetube but maybe freetube can circumvent that.

The world’s billionaires have to hurry up and throw money at ai until it can generate fully accurate impossible to prove ai fake images so that when pictures of them at Epstien island come to surface they’ll be able to plausibly deny that it’s real. If enshitification isn’t stopped, the job market could devolve to the point everyone that isn’t an “elite” will be living in a medival-like society and the only way to get food is by using a barter system to trade with other destitute poor people. The second hyperinflation hits, the rich and the poor will practically be living in different worlds. Learn either a medival skill or a skill that would be beneficial in such a society. I’m doing machining and blacksmithing. Might start dabbling in chemistry too. If I can’t be successful in modern society maybe I can be highly skilled and successful in whatever secondhand society emerges.
