Ooo, nice! I’ve been meaning to learn more about cli/tui stuff, anyway. Thanks!
Triple A (autistic, aroace, agender). Uses all pronouns. Name’s MC/Feline

I have enough money to buy a more modern Lenovo laptop, but I’m definitely considering getting one renewed simply because of how cheap it is. I’d prefer newer age specs tho. Thank you!
Oh :( As annoying as that is I can’t bring myself to completely take it off the board. Thanks for the warning, though! Nobody’s mentioned that so far :)
Ooo, nice! Although I don’t really want to use Ubuntu myself (nothing wrong with the distro itself, I’ve just tried others I like), the knowledge it’s Linux compatible is amazing!
While the laptops being so modular is really useful, the list of supported OS seem a bit narrow, although that doesn’t mean I’m not considering. Thank you!
Oh they’re really sticking by this stupid decision aren’t they. Well, they can’t complain about being laid to rest if they’re the ones who dug the grave, I guess
I’ve never heard of Guix before! From what the official page tells me it seems like a pretty in-depth os, and I wish u luck with it!
Yeah, that’s why I wanna dual boot myself, except there’s some software I need on Windows that isn’t available on Linux along with games. Also, what distro(s) do you use? I’ve already picked out a few candidates for what I’ll use, but it’s nice hearing firsthand experiences
Trust me, I know (I tried running Linux on my current NVDIA PC… Never again). While I plan on running Windows (mainly due to how much support it has for like. Everything) I do plan on running Linux on a laptop in the future and possibly dual booting
As sad as I am by how Reddit turned out, this was the kick I needed to start truly indulging in the fediverse! Everybody’s been nice so far, and I hope that it continues to be that way
Ah, thank you! I’ve already been using PCPartPicker, but it has been an AMAZING help. I don’t think I could handle the stress of making a parts list without it
It makes me sad that a site as big as Reddit is letting down so much of it’s userbase for a quick buck. At least it’s making people look for decentralized sites like this more, I suppose
The original FFVII game! Figuring out how to get the multiple discs to work from an emulator was a bit of a pain, but afterwards it’s been easy sailing! While it certainly has its problems, I can see why it’s so popular. Planning on checking out the remakes later on to get more of it, but I can’t deny I’ll miss the low-poly graphics of the OG, as I’ve always had a soft spot for that kind of 3D art
