So it must be some sort of bug. I have two screenshots of posts here. Both communities are on the same instance. But only one shows the option to edit.

Obviously Apples claim is complete bullshit but damn ya gotta feel a little for Microsoft tho, right? Like they’ve been trying to capture the search engine market with Bing for so long and only after being crushed by Google, they’re being accused of succeeding 😂.
So not shadow banning so much as putting feeds thru a kaleidoscope 😂
Yep. If you check them out via a browser you’ll see an option to view on mobile.
Ok, yeah, that would be pretty amazing as a distinction. Posts manually hidden stay hidden unless unhidden and posts already read just kept temporarily out of the way. Where do we submit such specific feedback? Someone mentioned a GitHub to me. Is there a GitHub for Sync for Lemmy?
Oh, I understand now. No, it doesn’t seem so. You can comment on communities hosted on other federated instances of course, but I’m not seeing a way to view another instance’s local feed.
Edit: looks like that feature is available on Liftoff tho.
This is actually great for me. I hated how cluttered my “hidden posts” were in other apps. I personally like the idea of hiding posts in the moment and resetting when refreshing.
Comment on communities hosted on other federated instances, yes. Comment on a sidebar, not that I’m aware of. I don’t think that’s a thing.
In Voyager, it’s just another 3 dot option.
For an instance, not a community.

Downvotes is another feature I desperately want on Sync. It’s my main reason for having Voyager installed.
Oh, ok. Yeah, that’s it. Thanks.
