in very limited terms I think Valve might fully remove games (like the crypto miner one) from accounts but other then that if you bought it you own it as far as I’ve seen with Steam. I have transformers devastation which was delisted, and while the achievements won’t really show up on my account iirc, and I can’t sell the card drops on the market, I can still install and play it fine

If it doesn’t have a good level of modern polish (hd-2d and the like) why not just emulate it?

Unpopular opinion but as a consumer I only care about what I pay. Company takes a 30% or 5% cut… but I still pay 70 new either way. If Epic wanted to really compete with Steam they’d have feature parity and be cheaper, and while they’re closing in on the former, they’ll never be able to do the latter.

IMO, if cars improved like CPU’s the situation might be different. Imagine if your 2025 Toyota got double the gas mileage of a 2015 one rather then maybe 1-2mpg more.
