Samsung still is terrible. You can’t disable their store or utilities. They always pop right back up and start themselves. One might argue that’s hardly a problem when phones have 6GB+ of Ram now and better battery optimization, but on budget phones that some people get “free” from carriers, it makes them lag-ridden slogs to use.

The reason people use Pixels has always been utility. The Ai garbage was like putting jelly on a biscuit.
I don’t mind the jelly, personally, but I came for the biscuit, and its still there.
You can still root them, still unlock them, still use custom Roms, kernels, operating systems in some cases. They’re still what they’ve always been.
IMO its because the google everyone liked died with the Pixel 6 and Ai initiatives.
People are literally playing with fire.
On one hand, it could be more Google bullshit like their RCS requirements that lock out custom Roms just so users will buy a new phone or play their cat and mouse game with Magisk modules.
On the other, it could legitimately be a problem with the battery and it needs to be taken seriously.
If those are my options, and there’s no way to know the real truth, I’d swap to a different phone just to be on the safe side.

I’ve gotten to a point where the quality of a PS2 game is higher to me than most AAA releases. I mostly play retro games, more open multiplayer games that don’t block users like TF2(and TF2) and indies… so, no. I don’t really need Windows for anything.
