I currently use Nextcloud for this thing. It checks all other boxes, but for scrum management Deck is only option and it is super bad. I think OpenProject has some Nextcloud integrations, but I don’t like OpenProjects pricing model so have not tried it.
I really hope there is was betters apps for this.

Games@lemmy.world•Pokémon Champions Online Battle Game Launches on April 8English
4·6 months agoPokemon finally makes battle focused game.
(Implying with this meme that Pokemon has now reason to takedown Pokemon Showdown not that it would be better version if it)

Not all games are for everyone. I think big issue is specially if many people think that game is masterpiece it will be even harder to enjoy the game because you will feel the pressure from the people.
Stardew Valley (like other farming games) is just grinding simulator so it is imo really easy not to like it. Some people find watering plant relaxing and some people find it tedious.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Question: Is there a Self Hosted Discord like app?English
0·7 months agoI replaced Discord(and Whatsapp) with Matrix/Element as voice chat (and general chat) with my wife. I remember running it with Docker was bit annoying to set up (I was selfhosting beginner when first doing it now it could be easier), but with Yunohost it is one click install (if you are willing with swap operating server).
Nextcloud Talk could work for your needs, but I have not personally used it so hard to recommend it.

2·7 months agoWell this is silly :D. It has been while since I played Palia, but I also remember when “cake parties” was way to grind money.

Games@lemmy.world•Stardew Valley Turns 10: The Big ConcernedApe Interview - IGNEnglish
1·8 months agoI am mixed between “Wow! Ten years already” and “Only ten years old, it feels like it has been out for ever”. I am always amazed that it is still receiving updates. ConcernedApe is always developer I look up to and admire. He didn’t let the fame and success affect him and still just casually keeps developing games.

Games@lemmy.world•Games you really want to play, but can't or won't?English
2·8 months agoI played it when it was in closed beta. And as a fan of Overwatch and previous LoL player, Deadlock was super fun to play. But combination of high mechanical requirement and knowledge requirement it is hard to enjoy the game as casual peopler. Thank god now there is light version of Deadlock as Overwatch Stadium.

Games@lemmy.world•Games you really want to play, but can't or won't?English
8·8 months agoDeadlock. As a parent and full time worker I don’t have time to commit to a new live service multiplayer. It would be amazing to be a teenager or student again and just grind that game as nolife.
Wow is kinda similar. Housing update seems like fun thing that they finally added but no way I have time to play wow.

Game Development@programming.dev•What game engine is the best for my laptop? and good for a total beginner?
5·10 months agoMy vote also goes for Godot. Godot is the “new Unity” and it has a lot of resources to help beginners get started. It is free so you can try it with no worries and take some other option if you don’t like it. But if you are just starting game development there is “no wrong answer”. You should just select one engine and try to finish a game with it.

0·10 months agoSame I almost got locked out from my Ghost account because of email 2FA. Luckily you could change the config to override it.
Same annoying was with Mastodon, but luckily as admin you can approve accounts to override the email confirmation.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•jotty·page - Checklists & Notes made it easyEnglish
0·11 months agoNice to hear that it is worked on! I guess since it has working API someone could technically create own desktop app for it :D Encryption is probably not early priority I assume since it is supposed to be lightweight?
My comparison for this app is Trillium notes. In jotty the UI looks better and kanban support is one of the features that I missed in Trillium notes!

0·11 months agoWow this looks amazing! One of the best looking note taking apps. I think my only problem is that I like that I have offline access to my notes and I think this is only webbased? I didn’t read the details in dept but can you sync notes with other note taking apps?

Games@lemmy.world•Heart Machine making layoffs and ending development on Hyper Light BreakerEnglish
9·1 year agoSad to hear that company is not doing that great. Hyper Light Drifter is one of my favorite games. I never tried Hyper Light Breaker because of the mixed review and my having less time than usual to play games.
