oh I mostly agree, but forgot to include the quote. I wanted to say, all that AI processing probably does not happen locally

how would a community owned ISP deny federal censorship?

few computers have an embedded NPU

For anyone who doesn’t know, here’s what happened:
except you forgot to mention some fucking crucial steps, like harshly calling it as politics and sending everyone to a warmer climate, and locking the issue to prevent further discussion

why don’t you just use chromium? it is open source, you can fork it!
that started with SELinux enabled
that does not matter, it needs to go over all of them. I don’t know how long it takes with SSD, but with HDD it can take a half an hour or more, with a mostly base system. and the kernel starts doing this very early, when not even systemd or other processes are running, so no ssh, but web console should have been working to see what its doing
you are just making yourself learn to ignore that your smartwatch vibrates. It’s a bit like breathing and blinking, you are so used to it you can completely forget that its happening. if your smartwatch, or phone, or whatever, starts vibrating all the time, you will get used to it and not notice when it stops happening anymore, but also it will hide any actually meaningful notification.
but you probably won’t notice that some of the regular emails are not sent anymore
are you sure it really bricked it? when turning it on, on next boot it needs to go over all the files and retag them or something like that, and it can take a significant amount of time

but then what do the service centers use?

and things like 2FA apps like Authenticator if I recall right
2FA apps should work fine, like aegis, google authenticator, microsoft authenticator, authy, etc. maybe samsung’s own one wouldn’t, if they even have one, but no one should use that anyway
I just wanted to be able to record both sides of calls which is legal in my country, without having to use the official Phone app which warns participants with a forced beep and a voice note that the call is being recorded
why is that a problem?

it should be cheaper with the full price of the charger
in my european country, apple’s website says the 1 meter 60 watt usb-c charger cable costs 25 EUR, and the 30 watt usb c charger adapter costs 45 EUR. these are the most budget options I could find on apple’s site
so, the devife should be 70 EUR cheaper, to be exact

If you can’t understand the technology behind it
it seems it is you, that have no idea how technology works. “open source” won’t solve being able to prove it does not send anything more it needs, when the implementations will be black boxes, with obfuscated verification software as is recommended by guidelines governmental projects intend to follow, as you can see in this very long thread
additionally, when the laws are accepted, what will you do if the promises turn out to be lies? protest by not using the internet anymore?

sorry but you are so naive

well the good part is you don’t need to merge those accounts anymore

It’s because they’re required by law to offer it without a power supply. See Article 3a, section 10.
the problem is not that, but that they are still including the price of the charger in the deal

opening up the instance is very risky indeed, but I think they meant the source code

I dont think they are injecting ads directly into videos yet, so ad block should still work
Weren’t they saying last year they will be doing that? did they delay it, or what happened?

this is such a disingenuous argument. the situation was kids own devices have been confiscated, for a reason. that’s when you fully supervise their computer use for things they are required to do. Obviously, when they get back their devices, that doesn’t need to be restricted like that.
