No. There are 2 ways to get TPM. The TPM Chip and the eTPM built into most modern CPU’s. There were CPU’s that met the SecureBoot/TPM features for Win 11 buy failed in other respects so it would say the CPU failed. Also for CPU’s that did fail the TPM check, you can get the TPM Chip on a module for your motherboard. But that is only if you are OK with TPM/SecureBoot because there are a myriad of reasons like when active it can be fingerprinted to defeat your anonymity when using VPNs and it can be used to track you. Also they have been several severe exploits found in TPM and SecureBoot because the code is not maintained as often as it is supposed to be to be kept secure.

It is one of the key reasons I am on Linux right now and I plan Windows 10 to be my last Windows PC build as a daily driver. I am not enabling that Microsoft BS on my Linux PC to play a game.

It depends on what you are using Discord for and replacing. While Steam has Video Sharing and voice and text chat, that is only part of what I use Discord for and it would be lacking for me, not to mention it isn’t all available in one place in the UI. For others all they did with discord was make a text channel and a voice channel and used it and then Steam would be a drop in replacement that they already have.

Or it could be a dedicated team of coders using AI to generate code for them to review based on already existing encryption and platform packages. At this point only time will tell. I just put it out as an example… I can no more defend its security or the codebase of it or any other of the alternatives I listed. These just stood out to me from the others on AlternativeTo.net.

You have to use 3rd party bridging apps for importing Discord Servers.
• Stoat (Formally Revolt) https://stoat.chat/: Another Open Source alternative that you can host your own, but at this time servers aren’t connected and they want to do it through Federation, or in other words like email servers, so users can browse public servers. They are early days on the desktop and video sharing as well but they users like it so much and development team is so reachable that donations more than pay for the community service and development. Uses an open web app so anywhere you can get a modern browser to work has access.
• VoltChat https://voltagechat.app/: A platform similar to the previously mentioned Armada, but using its own decentralized federated platform.

Windows 10 LTSC gets updates until mid 2028 and if you use the IoT version 2032, both of which are full versions of Windows. And by all updates I mean security too. For free.

As for sailing the high seas, if you have the installers now for the software you are using, now would be a great time to see if they are available and back that stuff up or break down and purchase it. It is up to you.

Buy a key, download the ISO from the usual places, and install. Like doing a clean install of Windows 10. There are some desktop apps that it doesn’t have but you can download them and just use them or you can use third party apps. Most of the telemetry and adware isn’t installed and it actually costs less the ESU and will get updates until 2028/2032 for the IoT (Internet of Things) edition which uses the same key.

There is no software that does theming for GRUB that doesn’t break it badly and was stopped mid development and GRUB 2.0 takes deep knowledge of how it works to theme it without breaking it.

Hell the little bit of theming they added to Ventoy has them slowing GRUB updates to make sure that it is tested and tested again before they roll it out and break everyone’s install without knowing it.

There is a considerable number of users that stopped using Bluesky because of the Age Verification. I think that is playing a significant issue, along with corporate accounts being few and far between compared to Twitter. Its not “Search and Siezure” it is “Searches” and “Siezures”. It violates the “Searches” part and the only way to work around is a warrant. A “search” is not only to search a person’s house, but to subject a person to being followed and tracked day in and out needs a Judicial Warrant in most circumstances because you are violating the subjects right to privacy.

In the case of Flock they could set up cameras and have trained people watch them, and that is iffy at that, but once it is autommatically stored and cataloged everything everyone does and where they go, and can be used to unwind everything a person does quite litterally like Big Brother, and then you can put that in a data base where the police can litterally do fishing expeditions after the fact to make a case, or the AI can just spit out a name that got a well known car reviewer seconds away from getting his life ended by a police officer because it mixed his plate with annother, that is an entirely different kettle of fish.
