• disconnect internet on install
• install and get to the initial setup screen (out of box experience screen where you setup keyboard, etc)
• press shift+f10 to get console
• run “OOBE/BYPASSNRO”

It will reboot and bring you back to that same initial setup but when you get to the account page you will have an option for “I don’t have internet” which then will allow you to create a local account.

They were going to remove this but haven’t yet, at least the last time I setup a VM for some windows only software about a month ago.

Edit: This was a fresh install, not a 10->11 upgrade. I haven’t tried that way so I can’t confirm if it works on a keep everything upgrade.

I think it’s worth saying that while not ionizing, high power high gain RF can cause damage via burns. Not sure how much power/gain is used in this situation though. Staying away from unfamiliar transmitting antennas is in general a good thing.

This is what frustrates me. Wikipedia is one of the last places where sources are cited. I understand that sometimes the sources are not that great, but at least the claim comes with a source to verify. That’s a far cry from the nonsense spewed on say facebook.

It’s disingenuous to compare a Tesla care that has far less autonomous capabilities with a car that is fully driverless. Tesla cars are more of a stopgap between “normal” cars and fully autonomous cars. To compare a Tesla car that requires a driver behind the wheel and one that doesn’t is, in my opinion, a silly comparison. Of course they will have different levels of required sensors.

I agree that if LIDAR is too expensive, it’s a hindrance into the changeover from “normal” cars to more self-driving cars for the average consumer. But again, to compare a car that has it’s design goals to be for the average consumer based on price and a car that has it’s design goals to be fully autonomous is silly.
