As problematic as AI is, these students are going to live in a world where it exists. I would much rather live around people who were taught how to use it well and as a tool to aid thinking and understanding rather than a total replacement to thinking. I’m sure it will take years of refining how we teach high schoolers to live around it to get good results, but we have to start somewhere.

I agree that the early game walking is interesting because it gives you such a great sense of the actual layout the world. It makes it feel actually connected and whole while most MMOs feel like a bunch of disconnected maps.

Don’t worry though. Once your magic gets up a bit you’ll be able to teleport around and save a ton of time. Teleport spells are the best early travel tech unlocks.

Definitely fortunately. There’s no wrong way to play that game, wandering around trying random things is my favorite way to do the early game too.
