[email protected] is a good place to go for stories like this.
Dev jobs are not hard to come by and they pay very well. It’s not like being a day laborer or something where we are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Have a little courage.
A good dev would unionize their workplace and push back. A dev who doesn’t care and just clocks on bad work because their boss sucks is not a good dev. Fight back.
Xmpp is p2p right? So it doesn’t have cloud features like synced message history no?
WordPress is open source. You can just use it and not host with WordPress.com
Almost certainly.
Yes unfortunately but hopefully it can get more active. I’ve tried inviting people I know through other channels who are involved with coops to participate but kost tech focused coops are more used to using mailing lists and non tech coops barely know the internet exists.
/u/pingveno just letting you know here in case you didn’t get to see my reply on your post, but I’ve removed your post about the esop because it is not a union. That post is a better fit for /c/coops
Uaw is a union. It’s not off topic.
This is not directly union related. Please post it to a more suited community like /c/coops
Ai is a field. Using it in an appeal to “true ai” is meaningless.
The turing test is a rhetorical tool by turing to outline his logical positivist beliefs. Turing did believe in its use as an actual test but it’s not a discrete test, it’s a test of hypothetically infinite time.
Does the post explictly reference unionization efforts or the actions of a union?
Op, please explain what this has to do with unions?
lmao
I’ll leave it but I think we should have a more central focus on unions generally speaking.
I’m not anti electoral politics and obviously electoral politics play a role on union organizing but our focus should primarily be on what unions are doing, not what politicians are doing to unions. Thank you for contributing.
Hey, OP can you explain what this has to do with unions? This sub needs to stay focused on topic, not veer off into general labor aligned politics. Trying to keep this sub focused.
You could say the same thing about fossil fuels in the USA…
Considering the subsidies from the cpc, they all kinda do lol
Not sure this is really union related.
