I guess they used the auto suggest title feature where even the original article does not mention it. It’s mentioned in the subheading.
That €20 is for remove ads. Update the app and check the sidebar
Here’s the URL to the dev’s privacy policy as listed on the Play Store. It should give a better idea of what he actually does: https://www.iubenda.com/privacy-policy/28463889
That’s for lifetime ultra. Check the sidebar for remove ads option. Should be $24
Yes, it would work with all android devices. Otherwise, it would be pointless.
For some reason Youtube does the fastest and the most accurate voice recognition compared to the offline google Speech to Text. If they want to improve. Implement that in the Speech to Text app.
KeepassDX. The best password manager IMHO. It supports saving passwords, ability to open them with biometrics and is seamless and offline. I have been using it since 2019. Redreader for reddit provides the best offline reddit experience. Also using it since 2019. Personaldnsfilter, pretty much a fire and forget app. No setup required at all. These are some of my favorite apps and I have more.
Thanks for the guide. It will make self-hosting more accessible.
It had been a while since i last remembered it, but i knew the reason was stupid. So, I had written reasons in italic. But, I guess that was up for open interpretation and that included questionable stuff.
Play Store has strict rules for apps with user generated content. You have to provide ways to block and report users/content to stay on the play store. Glider didn’t provide a way to automatically report things by the user as hacker news doesn’t provide one. So, google suspended it. Here’s the github issue if you are interested: https://github.com/Mosc/Glider/issues/83
Yeah you should. It installs fine on my android 13 device with same amount of ram. I think must be some black listing issue.
If you are using hacker news on mobile. I would recommend Glider. It’s a smooth hacker news client. Unfortunately, the dev had his app removed from the play store for reasons but you can access it from its github or fdroid.
As an extensive user of Sync let me say.
The ability to customize change layout, Twitter previews in posts, ability to open comments, subreddits in windows.
It’s ability to cache comments/threads/videos. So, if android decides to kill Sync due to limited resources I can start where I left instead of having every thing reload from scratch. And lots more. The dynamic Material you theme and the beautiful UI should not be forgotten.
It’s multi windows feature with its caching feature made it indisputable for me. I had anywhere from 3-6 windows or more active to jump back in anytime. If he brings that to lemmy it would make interacting with lemmy that much more awesome. Waiting to see what’s he got in store for us.
Here’s a screenshot to show what I mean by multi windows:
