I was a bit surprised the touch pads were square as well!

Reminds me of one of my favorite dark souls videos: elevator inspector
This is all helpful, thank you!
I’d be interested to know their long term support in general, myself - have Jelly phones gotten OS updates in the past, or at least security updates? Looks like there aren’t any Lineage builds for their phones, which is unfortunate.
Either way, this looks like a big leap in power and aesthetics for them, and I’m intrigued! Ticks most boxes for me, albeit lacking a headphone jack. Happy to see they’ve hit their funding goal!
Rest in Pepperoni little phone
Not sure yet what I’ll do if my 4a dies, but at this point I’d probably just buy another one, hahah. I absolutely love it.
Having trouble finding links to back it up, but I think the Pixel Fold 2 is unfortunately rumored to be quite a bit taller/larger than yours :( I too thought that the smaller outer screen of the first gen was a nice selling point
I often buy albums on Bandcamp and supposedly artists get a good cut of that. They have an app too, so you can stream content from there (or self host the files you get when you buy)
Set an alarm/reminder on your phone, maybe?
Oh sorry, lemme get off that thing!
Whoopsie
That’s available on Pixels as well - I use it a lot even on my smaller 4a. Very handy in a pinch!
I’m hoping that too, but seems strange they’d choose to stagger the launches if so :(
Depending on what features you want/need, you can get a used Pebble on eBay and run Rebble on it. More hoops to jump through if you use an iPhone, but android support is pretty straightforward!
I got into Pebble last year, hahah. I have four now because I’m a weirdo (two Times, a Time Steel and a Round). Thank goodness for Rebble!
Love my Pebbles! Thank goodness for Rebble.
SAME. Sad bird noise.
Bit of a non sequitur, but I really miss the Idle Thumbs podcast :( hope those guys are doing well, I know some of them ended up at Valve
I started with Jerboa because I browse in compact mode and it reminded me the most of Boost, but once I found Thunder there was just no going back. Very polished UI and the dev team has been on a roll with fixes and features. It’s only on GitHub right now but it’s pending review on the play store. Check it out even if you tried it a week or two ago - it’s great and only getting better!
Both of those are still upgrades though - they didn’t say “upgrade the screen to LED”. It’s a good callout though!
