Meh, whatever. Even if the fediverse were to never get any bigger, it’s still a win. This place is big enough to be stable and generate it’s own content and culture. All that matters is if you’re enjoying it here and actively trying to make it a better place.
That’s a bold move Cotton …
lol, get fucked Drew
The first step is to install docker
I appreciate the effort, but I’m a normie, so nah …
lol, exactly. that is literally reddit for me now as well
Facebook never “died”, but no one goes there anymore either. Reddit will be the same.
I dunno, these type of comments have the same vibe as “see! it snowed last night, global warming isn’t real!”. Yes, this individual incident makes it seem we’re fine, but overall it’s still treading towards “we’re fucked”
Someone who hasn’t learned the difference between a platform and a product is telling people to touch grass. Interesting 🤔
If it’s shitty enough, yes. I’ll go to reddit or kbin or wherever and tell people it’s shit. That’s what reviews are man.
Mate, it’s literally the same game that’s been out for almost a year. There’s nothing fresh to review, and the only platform it was on before didn’t allow reviews. It was incomplete shit then, it’s incomplete shit now, so it’s getting exactly what it deserves.
Here in Japan they charge by the hour, with discounts if you prepay for 3, 5, or 8 hours
Internet cafes will still have a niche and function to fulfill
Absolutely! They’re the perfect place to crash after a night of drinking but you’ve missed the last train and can’t go home
Given Samsung’s flip phone has an IP rating of IPX8, which means it’s protected against being submerged in water but isn’t protected against dust (for now), it seems likely the flour played a part in the phone breaking. But being able to survive 400,000 folds would still mean the phone should survive over 10 years of use if you unfold and fold it around 100 times a day.
Honestly I’m impressed it survived for as long as it did. I played around with a demo model last month, and I figured it’d break rather quickly even with normal use. But I guess the conclusion is as long as you take care of it, it’ll be fine. Still think it’s all a gimmick though.
How do you prove someone in the central government didn’t take a bribe and tamper with the records? What if you’re from a country where the central government is less than stable? How would you prove ownership if something were to happen to that database? How do you prove that someone is who they say they are? How do citizens and businesses access that database? Is there a standardized format for it? Does it use some proprietary software built by the lowest bidder?
Not saying that blockchain has all the answers or that it is the right tool in all cases, but these are some of the problems it is trying to solve.
I thought it was “ten”
Why would it be illegal? A cease and desist is just a fancy letter saying do what we want or else we’ll go crying to a judge. If the original dev hasn’t done anything wrong (I’m not familiar with the project but I’d still say that’s highly likely to be the case) then there’s nothing to worry about. So make all the clones you want, and watch a dumbass company Streisand itself
