I agree. I use gnome on nix and it has been great, especially on a touchpad.

Vivaldi browser just came out for iOS and has Adblock support. So does Firefox focus. Also, invidious/piped is always an option.
I’m not sure about their response, but I’ve had success using it with a usb adapter to play couch coop on a tv without needing a dedicated console.
Limited capabilities? I haven’t found a game in my library it couldn’t play locally. The ui is great, the controls work well, and it can even be used to run desktop apps.
It used to. They paywalled it with YouTube premium.
That’s actually pretty hilarious.
Is the background of the image just the google image results for “instagram logo”?
I’ve just wishlisted Shadows of Doubt. Seems interesting.
I’ve been playing a handful of games:
Demon’s Tilt: an excellent pinball game that runs great on the Deck. Also, the pixel art is very nice.
Hades: a great roguelike, finishing the last few side quests now.
Void Scrappers: a fun little survivors-like. Cheap and addictive.
Cassette Beasts: similar to Pokémon, if Pokémon had actually innovated in the last few years. Awesome mechanics, and all the battles are doubles matches.
Good to hear about more people playing Hollow Knight. It’s excellent, and I highly recommend avoiding story spoilers until you’ve finished the main quests.
Do you have a source? The only notable investment of his I’m aware of is framework.
I know. I’m super excited to see how the city will change in Nivalis.
How is it even possible to use the wrong GPU when the correct one is in the same box. That makes it seem malicious rather than foolish.
That makes sense. Vivaldi uses a chrome user agent most of the time, unless you use a Microsoft service, in which case it uses a Microsoft Edge user agent.
If Google wasn’t so blatantly malicious in their advertising practices then I would gladly pay for YouTube premium. However, their current business model of “take any and every bit of data on them to sell more product” is morally repugnant. Subsequently, I feel no shame in blocking ads and using invidious to avoid giving them even a cent of revenue.
