I don’t go to CVS because they make the whole experience exhausting.
Also known as snooggums on midwest.social and kbin.social.

I just tell them ‘no’.
I liked having the minimal formatting options in WordPad without the bloat of Word.
They’re supposed to be good a transformation tasks. Language translation, create x in the style of y, replicate a pattern, etc. LLMs are outstandingly good at language transformer tasks.
That it generates correct answers > 50% of the time is actually quite a marvel.
So good as a translator as long as accuracy doesn’t matter?
The users’ assumption/expectation of the output being factual is what is wrong.
So randomly spewing out bullshit is the actual design goal of AI models? Why does it exist at all?

My auto bright feature barely ever turns them on for more than a couple of seconds since it seems to be triggered off by reflective signs. So on empty roads with signage I have to turn them on manually if I don’t want them to flick to dim constantly.

I guess I clean the filter sometimes.
The point of the article isn’t that AI is outright useless as a coding tool but that it lulls programmers into a false sense of security regarding the quality and security of their code.
Lulling them into a false sense of security is half of what makes it useless. The fact that it makes shitty code is the other half.
The only reason that this is unpopular is that there are a lot of things that happened to the web that are far better than some overhyped group text vomiting website going downhill.
Yes, it is a likely risk. Having an unauthorized broadcast signal is a security risk because it can be used to locate and target the ship, allows for crew to communicate with the outside world without the oversight that they would normally have, and is outside the control of the ship’s command.
There are many valid reasons for the military to be limited to authorized channels for communication.
Multiple people were involved, and it was probably mounted in a location where other people were unlikely to know that it was out of place.
I stopped going to Radio Shack when they made purchasing a hassle too. Loved them as a kid in the 80s when I was doing build your own electronics.
