Is this how neuro-typicals see those with Autism? Is this how we appear to neuro-typicals? I’m at a total loss lmao.

People often use this word to get attention, or as an insult. The other day I was playing a game, and some dumb kid called me “artistic”. I told him that he was right, and that I love to paint.

It’s exhausting, but I guess it’s better than hearing the n word over and over again (EA games allow this, it’s insane.)

I think it’s internet nonsense devoid of any meaning or reason beyond “lol, random nonsense words, such non-sequitur”

This one confused me. Sliding the drink down the countertop is so deliberate and intentional. That doesn’t scream ASD to me. People with ASD can have meltdowns, due to sensory overwhealm etc., and be wrecking balls, but then the outbursts is more non-deliberate, and not intentional. Less directed.

Cats are objectively the worst house pet and people with cats suffer from severe Stockholm syndrome. They are in an abusive relationship and in complete denial.

I don’t even own a cat, but objectively speaking, they are extremely low maintenance compared to pretty much any other pet one could have. Is there a lot of other pets that generally take care of themselves and don’t need much more than food, a place to poop, and very occasional grooming? Pretty much every other pet I can think of needs some combination of a special enclosure, foods, grooming, exercice, socializing… Even dogs are a hell of a lot more work.

While I think that poster is being a dick, I’m gonna make the argument that cats are basically equal to dogs, if not a bit more work. Dogs can shit outside without being destructive to native wildlife, and cats shit in a box that you have to regularly keep clean. If you get a lower energy dog, they only need a walk once or twice a week and yard time. A short-haired dog doesn’t really need regular grooming besides nails, which you often have to do for cats as well if they scratch everything but their post.

Basically, I think it’s much of a muchness, and comes down way more to the individual creature and their personality.

Maybe it’s supposed to be showing lack of empathy/disappearing in your own world where everything is fine? Otherwise, no fucking clue. I want to assume somewhat good faith, but they’re making it difficult.
